NSW South Coast
As you head south from Sydney along our spectacular coastline you will witness it's unspoilt natural beauty and some of the most beautiful, scenic coastline in the world. Your eyes are in for a treat.
With a temperate climate and diversity of coastal, forest, mountain and rural country, its a natural, unspoiled environment providing a peaceful, relaxing or adventurous experience at any time of the year.
The Shoalhaven has a vast cultural history in indigenous and European heritage, playing host to many festivals from our different cultures, with small villages with interesting histories known for their food and wines and country markets reflecting the different heritages. The local wines and cheeses are world famous.
Jervis Bay and Batemans Bay both have marine parks. With bays and coves and white sandy beaches (Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay has one of the whitest sand beaches in the world) there is an abundance of marine life, with pods of dolphins and migratory whales a common sight along the coast there's also a colony of fur seals on Montague Island.
With more than 30 national parks, marine parks and reserves – plus beach culture and a rich Aboriginal history
