Currarong
The quiet coastal village of Currarong is located 33 km south-east of Nowra at the northern end of Beecroft Peninsula. The town is a popular holiday destination for fishing, SCUBA diving, wind surfing and loads of other water activities, with Abrahams Bosom being a safe sheltered beach which has picnic grounds with BBQs (make sure of fire bans before lighting) and a variety of walks start from this sheltered cove ranging from the 500-meter stroll to the wreck of the SS Merimbula to the half-day Coomb's walk. The cliffs of the peninsular are spectacular but unfenced so a careful watch is needed with children in this vicinity.
There are many beautiful scenic spots between Currarong and Callala Bay, along the Beecroft Peninsula. The famous Point Perpendicular where the lighthouse is located, Target Beach, Honeymoon Bay, Long Beach, Green Point, all popular swimming and camping spots. As Beecroft Peninsula is Commonwealth Territory and a Naval Bombardment Range, instructions given by the Rangers must be adhered to for your safety and those of your family and friends.

Natural bush walks and sheltered swimming areas can be accessed from the road to Point Perpendicular with spectacular views of Jervis Bay from the lookout. The lighthouse, with whales, dolphins and seals often spotted from the top of the cliffs, makes for a photographers paradise.
The peninsula provides for excellent rock fishing, but like most rock fishing sites, it can be dangerous. Please tell someone where you are going if you are going fishing or walking in the isolated areas around the cliffs and please bring your rubbish out with you.
The local shops provide take away foods and basic groceries and Currarong Bowling Club has a restaurant and regular entertainment. Picnic grounds are located adjacent to the main beach near the shops.
There are holiday rental properties of all sizes as well as a caravan park for accommodation.
